What the heck is going on with this kid?
DD had been sleeping all night since she was about 6 or 8 weeks (that is going down around 10-11 and sleeping until 8-9). More recently she had been going down around 9 and sleeping until around 7. The past few nights, she goes down between 9 and 10 but thinks that she should be getting up at 4am to eat!!
The first night, I gave her 4oz and she went back to sleep until 8; the next night I gave her 3oz (2 formula plus 1oz water mixed with rice) and she went back to sleep until 8:30; last night I tried rocking her back to sleep but that didn't work, so then I gave her 3oz of formula mixed with rice but that didn't satisfy her so I gave her another 2oz and she finally went back to sleep but only until 7:15!!!
I don't want to be overfeeding her but I don't know how to get her to go back to sleep in the middle of the night; or how to keep her from waking up in the middle of the night.
We already just started adding rice cereal to her bottles to make them thicker (to reduce spitting up). Shouldn't that be making her fuller and keeping the milk in her belly longer? I just don't know what to do with her.

If it is, will things get back to normal without any intervention on my part?

l'd up the ounces during the daytime feedings. That might be enough to get her back to sleeping through the night.

Oh jeez, I just realized that this sounds like I'm being lazy . I'm really not trying to be, I just want to know what I have to do to "fix" her. I will try increasing her daytime feedings. Now today, even her usual feedings seem to be holding her for less and less time. I have a call out to the doctor because in addition to this, she has had 4 very watery BMs today. She usually only has 1 a day or every other day. He made some changes to her feedings and instead of helping, things are worse!! She just seems so miserable lately; things just have to get better for her soon.

Sounds like Marron is having a growth spurt. I would definetly try to give her more during the day and especially at her last bottle.
hope she feels better soon!
