reassurance
Okay- so I know via google that it may be normal to have cramps in early pregnancy, but mine have been pretty consistent for the past two days. They are worse than when I have my period. I get pretty bad pain from ovarian cysts and these cramps are just like that.
Should I be worried?
I wasn't planning on calling my doctor until next week (at which point I will be farther along than I was when I miscarried) but am wondering if I should be calling now...
There is no blood..had minor spotting two days ago before the BFP..now no spotting at all..just cramps.

Re: reassurance
I had cramps early on. If you're looking for reassurance, then you should call your dr. GL

Re: reassurance
I had very bad cramps before I got my BFP too. It was right before I was supposed to get my period so I thought it was just from that. I thought it was strange bc I don't usually get cramps and those were really bad. It could be implantation cramps (that's what i was told about mine so I'm not sure if it's accurate). I would call the Dr. tomorrow but it's probably nothing serious. Good luck

Re: reassurance
I had cramps right at the beginning too, but they were very much like period cramps; definitely no worse. It's your uterus stretching out and things shifting around down there to make room for what's coming. I think that as long as you have just cramps, it sounds pretty normal. And the spotting before your bfp was probably implantation bleeding and totally unrelated to this.
If you're really concerned you can call your OB, but depending on the OB they might just brush you off. When I called mine at the beginning (for some spotting) they basically told me that unless I have cramps and enough bright red blood to soak through a pad, to stay home and wait it out until my next appointment.

Re: reassurance
I would call your doctor, most docs will say its fine, but since you mentioned you have miscarried before they may want to see you sooner than usual. I would mention the miscarriage when you call.
Cramps sound normal to me!! No blood is a good sign!

Re: reassurance
I had some cramps too. It's very normal, as long as there is no blood.
But since you had a miscarriage, I would call your dr and go in.
Since i had two miscarriages, they let me go in the day after my BFP (I was only 4 weeks), and they took blood and then I went in 2 days after to take blood again to see that my numbers were going up. So that would be good reassurance for you.
They also did sonos weekly until we saw a HB
Call your dr!!
Best of luck!!!

Re: reassurance
I had a lot of cramping early on. Not worse than normal but generally more constant then when I have my period. Good luck

Re: reassurance
It was almost 4 years ago but from what I remember, my cramps were slightly worse when I was PG than when I wasn't - and I had a small cyst as well. I would definitely see your OB though, given your history

Re: reassurance
Like the others said, I'd still call your OB...doesn't hurt if they let you come in anyway. You'll get to see the little bean! But, I did have menstrual type cramping, worse than when I was actually menstruating.

Re: reassurance
Thank you all for your responses! This makes me feel better to be honest.
I might still call my doctor though. I had very very bad cramping last night that woke me up and kept me up all through the night.
However, I have had ovarian cysts in the past and this was JUST like that pain. So I am used to it, I just don't like the fact that its happening when I know that I pregnant.
However, I took another test this morning to make sure the lines weren't getting lighter (they were when I had the miscarriage) and instead it got darker and thicker. It was pretty dark to begin with so I know I am still pregnant. In fact the pregnancy line came up as soon as the liquid went across the screen... Plus, I almost puked this morning from a smell in the parking lot

Re: reassurance
I had pretty intense cramps in the beginning for both pregnancies so I'd try not to worry if I were you. Easier said than done I know!!
