When getting a sono to see progress....

can they see all of the follies? I am going after injections and have about 14 follies. But, is there more in there that they can't see? Or can they basically see them all????

at my retrieval, they got more eggs than what they were able to count on the sono. think of it as an estimate, there could be more or some follicles could be empty.

for me they saw more follies than eggs that we retrieved. i think they counted 20-30 follies total and we got 18 eggs. i think it completely depends on the person and the doctor because it can be hard to see all of them sometimes and other times they could be counting the same one twice from different angles.

For me they always saw less than they actually retrieved. My estrogen always was high so towards then end my little follies grew very rapidly by the day of the retrieval.

Thank you ladies. They brought down my dosage of gonal because my estrogen was going higher. I hope everything's ok in there!

I had 8 follies, they got 6 eggs, 5 were mature.

I think it totally depends on the person.

BUT - that being said - 14 is an awesome number. Good luck!!!
