how many ounces
was your child taking at 2 mths old? is their an "average" how do you know when to increase the amount of formula they are getting? TIA!
ETA Alyssa will be 7 weeks old on Tues/ she is taking 3.5 ounces right now.

Lauren is almost 3 months old and she is taking 4-5 ounces during the day and her last bottle before bed is 5-6 ounces. She then sleeps a good 7-10 hours

hmmm Im wondering....should I be giving her more than her usual 3.5 oz at her last bottle of the night? we are only getting about 5 hrs sleep out of her after the last bottl e- would it help if I gave her more with the last bottle??? does anyone else do this?

Honestly, I don't believe giving more ounces before bed will make them sleep longer. I just have kids who are good sleepers. Try giving 4-oz and go from there.

Andrew takes an average of 7 oz every 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. At least once a day he has 10 oz I think we might have to put him on rice cereal soon. The formula just doesn't satisfy him enough.
He is going to be huge

My son is 2 months and takes appx 5 1/2-6 oz per feeding. Just add an ounce and see how she does. She can probably take more than 3 1/2 oz per feeding at this point but every baby is different. The only way to know how much they need is to increase it and see how it goes.

Kerri took 4 ounces up until 8 weeks old then she started on 5oz....she is still on 5oz at 10 weeks

3.5 ounces at 7 weeks!? my little guy is quite the piggy then ! he is 4 weeks and takes at leats 4 ounces every few hours!
i asked this question the other day b/c i'm so afraid of overfeeding but i guess if he's not hungry he won't eat. he's not getting chunky but he is getting long so maybe he's filling out that way!
