What do you do with throw blankets?
We have a lot in our family room - usually for the winter, but my kids like using them for forts or when they come in from the pool.
Right now I fold them and pile them up between the couch and wall with some extra throw pillows, but I know there is a better way. We don't have a closet in this room and the one in the hall is packed.

I used to keep them in a wicker basket next to the couch. Now they are in a storage ottoman.

I also have a large storage ottoman in my family room that doubles as a coffee table (the other side of the top is a tray). So I usually keep extra throw blankets in there.
But in the fall/winter, I always keep at least one out, draped over the couch. I had a nice, new throw, and the color coordinated with my couch and throw pillows so that was fine.
Also, I have a finished basement that is about 5 steps down from my family room and kind of a mish-mash of a play room/TV area for ds, and extra storage. I always keep a few blankets down there (my ds also likes to make forts and stuff with the blankets), and then I can just run and grab one if I need one for the family room.

I have a big wicker basket with a handle that I keep them in.

I have mine in a leather storage ottoman we keep in the living room. I have the extra throws we don't really use upstairs in the linen closet. But we keep at least 2 downstairs in the ottoman (it's only 2 of us)

where did you get your big basket? I think I have too many around.
We just bought new furniture, I wish I had thought about a storage ottoman :-/

Mine are folded up in a basket. They don't come out until the winter time when it gets cold.
