Why at 36 weeks...

Does it feel like my food no longer digests.

I swear it feels like it just sits at the base of my esophagus. Im actually afraid to burp scared it may come back up.Chat Icon

I wake up in the middle of the night and it still feels this way....and dont even get me started on the heartburn.Chat Icon

I am 36 weeks too and have the same issue...I eat anything and it's like I swallowed a golf ball and if I try to burp, im afraid it will come up....just remember...the end is in sight....

Re: Why at 36 weeks...

the bab y is probably pressing on your stomach.

it happened to be last pregnancy...we were at a wedding (at 35 w) and I felt awful. I threw up everything when I got home. I thought I had food poisoning, but since it didn't come out the other way, my MW said that the baby can press on the stomach and not let food process.

I never really thought of that. Thanks.

I hope this month flys by!

27 weeks here and have been dealing with that for a few weeks now. It's such an awful feeling. Chat Icon
