Re: Jacuzzi ?

You don't want to do anything to get overheated. It can harm the baby. So generally, they tell you to avoid hot baths and hot tubs / jacuzzis. If you can make the water pretty cool, then... maybe? But I still think it's not supposed to be good for your blood pressure.

Hmmm Im not sure I do know your not supposed to let your body temparature get to high. If the water is really hot . I would skip it.

Re: Jacuzzi ?

not if the water is over like 100 degrees (or something like that). I wouldn't risk it. You can put your feet in though.

No. I was advised against it because of the risk of Spina Bifida.

I was told no hot tubs. If the jacuzzi is a cool tempature and just has bubbles i think it would be ok. I beleive the concern is specifically related to the heat. I would call my dr. just to be safe.

Re: Jacuzzi ?

yeah the concern is for the heat...my Dr. told me I can take baths, that they would probably actually help w/aches, etc., but not to stay in long and to make sure my internal body temp doesn't get too high...

but she said that jacuzzi's are so hot already that they are not a good idea...plus your whole body is submerged so your body temp increases much quicker

Re: Jacuzzi ?

No. Too many risks/concerns. Plus, it's not such a great thing for women, pregnant or not, due to the risk of infection.
