Need advice

A little background...we got preg first month trying mc due to tri-something...wait two mths after dc and got preggers third month ended in a chemical..had lap for blocked tubes and now had a failed iui...dh wants to do timed intercourse since we got preg twice in 5 mths...but drs office says better chances are iui..what should I do? Isn't it better to bd three days in a row instead of one iui?? Also on clomid bc dr thinks maybe my eggs were releasing too early.

Re: Need advice

we do back to back IUIs then BD the day after, so 3 days in a row.

Any reason why your DH doesnt want to do IUIs? Depending on your issues, you might be more successful with an IUI (but I dont know what those cases are)

Aren't you supposed to abstain for two days?

I guess he just doesn't trust the iui system.

some doctors say to abstain before the IUI if you have MF issues. but even if so, you could do the IUI and then BD the next day. does your DH not trust the IUI system or the doctor who's treating you?

I think the iui...the dr doesn't do the actual iui. It is the nurse.

maybe you and your DH should talk to the dr about his concerns?

i know it's so confusing. we are somewhat in the same boat. i've never had a problem GETTING preggo, just keeping the pregnancies. now we did 3 IUI's and i'm not preggo. seems confusing and strange.

Re: Need advice

if you're on clomid, you're going to have to be monitored. Somtimes it creates more eggs so if you go it alone without being monitored and get pg on your own, you can end up with multiples... so if you decide to Chat Icon on your own, just make sure you see the Dr first.
The chances of conceiving thru IUI are slightly higehr but given that you got pg so quickly, I can see why you both might want to try on your own again.

GOOD LUCK!!!
