For those delivering at Stony Brook Hospital...
Hi ladies! I just wanted to let you all know that I had a tour yesterday of the NEW labor and delivery suites at StonyBrook yesterday. (They were giving tours to employees). It's supposed to open in September and it's gorgeous!!!! Good sized room with a pull out couch for hubby and a big individual bathroom...
Just wanted to pass the info along!
The new NICU is opening up then too - hopefully you ladies won't need it, but that too is REALLY nice!!! (and i'll be working there for the month of November).

I delivered there June 2010. It's newer than that??  Are they still using that section??

Newer On same floor as the lobby is now (currently its on the 8th floor i think). Due to open this september!

WOW! I delivered DC 1 in Maimonides in Brooklyn, so when I delivered DC 2 in Stony Brook it was like the Four Seasons. I can't imagine it being any nicer.

I can't imagine it being nicer. It was amazing when I delivered DS there 2010. I can't wait to be back again this winter!

Are women in labor now going to have a room? When I was induced in 2009, I had to stay in the curtained area in L&D until I was ready to push. It was like 30 hours in that curtain with no privacy.

I had a room when I was in labor in 2010.
