Online recommends 7000-8000 for that square footage but I can't find anything for a vaulted room.
Thoughts?

For A/C?
How high is it vaulted? Does the vault open to any other areas? Are there skylights?

Cold air is heavier than warm air, so the air will stay in the bottom part of the room, and not get up into the vaulted area too much.

I honestly don't know how high the highest point is - not crazy high b/c we had a limit due to windows at the back off the house on the second floor.

The kitchen opens to this room.

No skylights.

our bedroom is about that size and with vaulted ceilings - it is also a loft! We tried so many A/Cs that were not strong enough and finally ended up with one of those flat Mitushbishi (sp?) units. 12,000BTUs and now I go to bed in winter pajamas! DH likes it cold.
