Has anyone made the cold broccoli and bacon salad?
I found the recipe on here and the dressing called for:
2 cups mayo 2 tbsp wine vinegar (I used white wine vinegar) 3/4 cup sugar
I let it sit in the fridge over night and mixed in the broccoli this morning and it looks the dressing looks like snot to me Did I do something wrong or is that what it's supposed to look like?

I make a similar recipe, but I mix all ingredients together at once and refrigerate all together. Mine never ever looks like "snot".
This is the recipe I use. The "creamy salad dressing" it calls for I use Hellmans Light Mayo.

Actually hadn't heard of this last night but saw it in a cookbook and made it. It's Ann Byrn's What Can I Bring? book, she says the traditional recipe isn't appealing to her and swimming in mayo so she modified it...not sure what the original would be like, but this was great!
4 cups broccoli florets 1/2 cup red onion diced 1/2 cup bell pepper sliced 1/4 cup golden raisins 1/4 cup white wine vinegar 2 tbs brown sugar 1/4 cup olive oil 2 tbs mayo a few sliced cooked, drained & crumbled bacon
Whisk brown sugar with vinegar; gradually whisk in oil to thicken dressing. Toss with all ingredients.
I used frozen florets, defrosted, as that was all I had.
