Shutter Color Decision..The front Door Color
We are tirying to spruce up the front of our house. The siding is a few years old and is a light grey. Do you think Charoal or Black would be better.
My DH thinks the Charcoal might blend better since the siding isnt new and I am on the fence because I also liked the black..
Part 2:
What color would you paint the front door if it was charcoal and what color if I go black.

Re: Shutter Color Decision..The front Door Color
I would do black shutters. I like more of a contrast between the siding and shutters.
My house is brick on the bottom, with light grey siding on top with black shutters. It was like that when we bought it -- I didn't choose it -- but I think it looks nice and has good curb appeal.
We have a white front door (again, that's what was there) -- it looks fine because we have a white railing, white mailbox, white lampost on the front door, and white garage doors.
But if you do black shutters with the light grey, you could also do a black door, or even red.
