Where to buy a handrail?
We have a flight of stairs in our home that has a metal handrail for the bottom 8 stairs, and no handrail for the top six (where the wall comes down). It was okay to live like that for a while, but at 9 months pregnant, I feel like I teeter at the top of the stairs sometimes, very unsteady. We need to attach a handrail to that wall! Something like this:
I NEED to have this before the baby comes, too. The image above is from Amazon, where a 4-foot rail is $150. That sounds crazy! Any ideas where I can go buy one in person? Lowes and Home Depot don't have them.
Any metal painted black will do just fine. Lowes and HD have wooden handrails for $8 that we could get in a pinch, but it with a metal bannister/handrail for the bottom 8 steps, it would look terrible!

Please, I'm due in 3 weeks and the nursery is upstairs! I can't carry a baby down a flight of stairs with no handrail.

They come primered, so you would need a can of spray paint to finish it before you installed it.

Have know someone who does this, he did our wrought iron railing outside. Let me know if you want the info.
I cant believe HD doesnt have them

Thanks for the offer. We just need a 4 foot rail anchored to a wall; it's really something we can do ourselves but just need to buy the rail.
I couldn't believe that neither Lowes nor HD has them! And that wood handrails are $8 but these cost at least $75.
