What is the longest you have gone between trims?

I'm growing my hair out and I'm wondering how long I can go before I need another trim. I just got one two weeks ago.

I am bad but one time, a year. Now, I get a trim every 6 months. I have long hair that grows fast. I used to be religious with trims until one time my beautiful long hair was chopped to a chin length bob! So now, its every 6 months.

I got about every 7-8wks. I find if I actually wait to till the 8wk mark, my hair needs it badly.

I'm growing my hair out too, and I've been doing it this way for the past several years. It keeps it healthy and my hair has grown long I tell her to just take off the very ends.

I've gone over a year and a half without a trim. I am really bad about it!

I trim mine every 6 weeks. It absolutely helps to keep it healthy and shiny, and I have very long hair. If it's straight, the longest point is just a couple of centimeters from my waste.

That being said, I haven't had a professional hair cut in 9 years. I would always get very upset because they would cut off so much of my hair. I was scared to try trimming mine at first by myself, but it's really very, very easy. It's been really helpful to do it by myself- maybe it's something you could try!

I'm pretty bad and wait a year or more also....I find that bc I highlight it, I don't want to constantly spend money for that, a cut and a blow out....luckily, my hair is straight and doesn't look damaged. This thread makes me kinda want to call soon to trim my angles! haha

I try to go every 8-10 weeks.

I haven't had mine trimmed since Valentine's Day weekend when I got a BAD cut by someone other than my regular person. I am DESPERATELY in need of one now though ... but I'm still looking to grow it out!

I go 2-3x a year.

I usually wear my hair back in a pony-tail most of the time though.

in the past i've gone up to 2 years

now i go every 6 months..i have very long hair and still only get it cut an inch or so

I go about 3-4 times a year. I have layers and if I waited any longer my hair would look awful.

6-9 months. My hair grows VERY slowly.

i just got my hair cut last wednesday... i hadnt had it cut, trimmed, or anything since a year ago today! the day of my sisters babyshower lol

id never ever gone that long without a hair cut

once every 3-4 months. I blow dry/process my hair, so it gets try and breaks quickly.

1-1.5 years , even 2 years few times in my life. I think it's been almost a year since my last trim. I'm not good at keeping it up at all, too lazy and too stingy to go more than 1 a year

I think the longest has been close to a year and a half. Now it's more like every 6 months or so. I have long pretty straight hair with a few layers, nothing that doesn't require a lot of maintenance. Although it would probably look better if I got more frequent trims.

I can usually go 6 months and then it gets too bad where I need a cut!!!
