Horrible heartburn....need some help

I am 32 wks and have the worst heartburn! I tried taking tums but it makes it worse. It has gotten so bad that I even throw up after I eat sometimes and sleeping has become impossible. Any advice?

I started taking Zantac. It has helped quite a bit.

Its getting really bad for me too. Last night was a horror show (25 weeks).

Sometimes milk helps me a bit. Also, try to keep track of what you're eating when its at its worst and don't eat that. Try to avoid acidy foods like tomato sauce and citrus fruits.

Re: Horrible heartburn....need some help

I have been taking pepsid AC and zantac.

I have found that it has nothing to do with what I eat. Just purely putting something in my stomach will leave me with a mouth full of acid.

I have been taking the first pill at one of my early morning bathroom stops so i'm set up for breakfast.

When all else fails try some ice cream. It's a temporary fix for me.

Gaviscon kept in the fridge was a god send for me. It's a little pricey, but it was like liquid gold!

Zantac has been my best friend for 2 weeks now. It really helps and it is fast.
