ReFi Questions
I am interested in refinancing our mortgage. The problem is I know NOTHING about it!!
Here are a few questions I have...
We have Chase. They keep calling to refinance and will charge a flat fee. Is there anything I should be concerned about? They seem very anxious to start the process. The lady even called me on a Sunday night to get things going.
Should I call around to other lenders or just go w/ Chase since we are already customers. Will the fees be cheaper?
Anything else I should know???

I would call around and see what the other lenders are offering so you can see if it is comparable and you are getting a good deal.
Look into the mortgage tax. If you go with a new lender you might have to pay tax on the mortgage all over again.

My father and my uncle just refinanced their chase mortgage with chase. They had no costs at all. Chase paid all closing costs and bank fees. my father was mailed a letter offering it and he told my uncle and he called chase and they gave him the same thing. I saw all the paper work and it is true.
