Ken's Moving RANT!
At the suggestion of many people on here, my sister used Ken's Moving yesterday. She had a one bedroom apartment and not a lot of stuff - a couch, a small high top table and stools and bedroom set along with some boxes. When the guys came she said they seemed p i s s e d at her for her building not having a service elevator (like that was her fault!). After them having attitudes but more or less doing a good job in moving everything, she tipped them $100 for three guys. They did not even say thank you! How rude! I thought that was terrible! Especially since I had heard such great things. Maybe the heat brings out the worst in people, I don't know.

Re: Ken's Moving RANT!
We used them this weekend as well, and it was terribly HOTTTT!!! They did a great job for us. We moved from an apartment with a very small elevator which two things would not fit down...(so they had to carry our couch and and a large Desk/Hutch down 4 flights of steps).
Also we just had our entire new house painted and floors redone. They didnt scratch a thing. We tipped 150 for the 3, bought lunch and had a case of water for them since the weather was the worst.
I think they have a few crews, so everyone can have a different experience.
I know I used a few other recommendations I got from this board..(which i was not happy with). So guess it just depends and everyone has different experiences.
I will say this is my 4th move in 6 years....( and the last move: ). The other movers were all terrible.

Re: Ken's Moving RANT!
It's funny you posted this. I used Ken's and had a great experience but my sister used them this weekend too after I recommended them to her. She only had them move a couch but the couch needed to be disassembled to get up the stairs and they said since it was a small job they don't have the time and left her on the curb with the couch! Luckily her landlord helped her disassemble the couch and carry it up the stairs but I thought it was a pretty sh!tty thing for them to do.
