I do hormel chilli with cream cheese and cheese. Layer each and eat with chips.
My sil also makes one on a huge round servering dish. Refried beans, then choped meat, then lettuce, tomatoes, jalepeno peppers and cheese. Basically a huge flat taco, eaten with chips.

Re: mexican dip using chopped meat
i dont like beans. Here's what I do...
Spread softened cream cheese on bottom of a casserole dish. Prepare chopmeat as if you were making tacos, pour ontop of cream cheese, spread sour cream on top of chopmeat, cover with shredded cheese of your choice and sprinkle some chopped black olive on top. Put in oven until hot and bubbly.

I usually use whatever's on hand. Generally, I mix sour cream and taco seasoning for the bottom layer. Cook the beef with the remaining seasoning. Top with tomatoes, red onion, salsa and cheese. Bake till the cheese is melted.

This sounds awful, but tastes so good.
Velveeta and chopped meat. I toss onions, tomatoes, and spinach in too.
