Re: luvox injections - anyone?
Do you mean lovenox?
It has to be injected into a major muscle. Could be belly, love handle or thigh. I do belly because I had a c-section and I have little feeling underneath my belly button. But no matter where you do it, it hurts.
Ice first, that helps.

Re: luvox injections - anyone?
Hi, I do Lovenox twice a day in my stomach. I HATE needles, but you get used to it.

Pinch the skin and then stick. My DH does it for me. You can google it.

Re: luvenox injections - anyone?
I use it once a day in the belly. I find that if I pinch the skin I wind up with a huge bruise. I have been sitting down and injecting without pinching - somtimes I get a tiny little bruise where the needle went in. And occasionally I do get a little bump under my skin at the injection site.

Re: luvenox injections - anyone?
I found that icing before and after helped to keep the bruising down a bit

To prevent stretch marks.
Sorry, just a little Lovenox fun
It's a blood thinner that some of us have to be on while pregnant.
I do 2 shots a day, around the belly or my love handle area. It's not fun, but you get used to it

Re: luvenox injections - anyone?
I do. At first, we were doing it in my hip/side area...It didn't hurt as much. Now my husband shoots me in my but. It hurts less. I bruised too much on my stomach, and sides/love handlesand butt definitely work out better.
ICE it, and squeeze the spot tightly while you inject it. I dont even really bruise anymore.

At first, but I dont bruise anymore. Ice is key for me and squeezing the area really tightly while my husband or I inject it.

Lovenox is subcutaneous (under the skin), it doesn't go into a muscle. I always did it in the belly area. Pinch the skin, inject, then hold the skin for another few seconds. I never iced or anything like that.
