What would you wear?
What would you wear to a dinner party at DH's boss’ house this Saturday?
He is the main partner at DH's law firm and invited the whole department to his house. It is being catered. House is beautiful, on the beach. I think it is in Lloyd Harbor. He likes to take a walk on the beach after dinner with everyone and have drinks.
Would a maxi dress be inappropriate since it shows so much shoulder and it is technically a "work" event?
This is the one I have from banana republic:
I would wear it with a sweater, cute flat sandals and maybe a big chunky necklace?

i think that is fine, and i would probably not even considser wearing a sweater.
But if you feel comfortable, maybe a sweater might be too hot, do you have a shawl?
