How do you keep your towels white?
I swear no matter what we do, they turn yellow so quickly. We just got new towels at Christmas time and im ready to get new ones  and the towels say not to bleach (which of course I did, but I dont think that caused them to turn)
I just got back from vacation and the hotel towels are always so bright white and I was wondering HTH to they do it? Is it just the extreme hot temps they use to wash them?

It's the bleach. You should never use bleach when it says not to. Bleach Def turns certain whites yellow. I just wash my towels according to the label. Warm water, dry on med heat. My towels look as white as when I bought them.

I bleach everything white. No matter what it says. All my towels, sheets, socks etc are very white and smell so good.

Our white towels have been white since we bought them over a year ago. We just wash them with regular detergent and put them in the dryer. We've never bleached them.

I agree that it is the bleach. I had the same problem. I switched to Oxiclean; it works great and no more yellowing!

i use bleach on all my whites and never experienced yellowing.
maybe its a product you are using? any prescription face medication? i know proactive has ruined my friends towels!

Yup.. it's the bleach.. you are overbleaching the towels..
I LOVE oxyclean! but I do use a little capful of bleach as well every now and again on those hard to treat socks

i wash all the towels together in hot water, bleach and tide.
works pretty well and my towels are pretty white.

my washer was old and my whites were terrible no matter what I did. Now that I have a fabulous new washer/dryer, I see the difference and I'm not doing anything differently!
