A few more clomid/iui questions

Hey girls, sorry for asking so many questions. I sometimes feel that my dr appointments are so fast I don't have time to think of these questions.

1. Does clomid slow down your ovulation? The dr thought I was releasing eggs too early and they missed my ovulation before we started clomid. I guess I am scared they are going to miss it agin.

2. I am not seeing the dr until cd9 and I won't ovulate prob until cd 11 or 12, so should I bd on cd 8?

3. After the iui did you rest? Should I plan to take it easy the day of?

4. Also, I had a mc and a chemical. Both chromosomal. My dr said the only way to avoid chromosomal problems is ivf. Did you girls hear that also?

Sorry for the millions of questions. This is such a confusing process.

1. CLomid didn't change my cycle at all but I'm not sure that is the same with everyone.

2. We BD a couple of days before the IUI but not right before but then did after.

3. After my first IUI (it was at night) I jsut went home and ate and watched TV. The 2nd one I went to work.

4. Yes IVF would be able to choose the good eggs. with IUI you are just getting the sperm there at the right time.

I dont know about clomid, I do femara but I think the doc probably wants better control of your ovulation which is why they are putting you on it.

We havent BD before the IUI because they say he should release up to 3 days before. We do 2 IUIs in a row, then BD on day 3.

After the actual IUI, they will probably have you sit on the table with your legs up for about 15 minutes. I have gone to work after them, and sometimes I havent. I think it depends on what you're comfortable with, but there's probably no reason why you can't go about your normal life (maybe someone else might disagree?)

1. I dont see why it would slow down your cycle at all.

2. If you ovulate CD11 or 12 on its pretty inconsequential whether you BD on CD8. you can if you want to for good measure.

3. you can do whatever you want after the IUI.

4. this is not only true but IVF alone wont prevent chromosomal issues entirely either. what happens is when they see the embryos divide - theoretically the chromosomally abnormal ones will not successfully get to a day 3 or day 5 transfer, and many wont normally divide past fertilization, or fertilize correctly. but many do continue to split so the only real way to eliminate genetically abnormal embryos is through IVF with PGD which is a testing of embryos prior to implantation. this is not standard for IVF, it's a process that costs more and in many cases takes more time.

Thanks, I guess I'm kind of a control freak, so I am having a hard time trusting them to time it correctly. I just have to know they do this all the time.
