Appliances

we are changing out all of our appliances. I'd like them to be all the same brand because I can bundle the package.

I went to a local store today and he steered me away from GE Profile and suggested Kitchen-Aid. I guess because they are made in the US. However consumer reports gives GE higher ratings in almost every appliances.

we need:

refridge (thinking french door, can't decide if ice/water should be on door or inside)

gas cooktop

electric single wall oven

dishwasher

over the range microwave.

So tell me - what do you have? and what do you love or hate about it?

Re: Appliances

I would go Kitchen Aid over GE.

Kitchen Aid makes a great dishwasher.

Re: Appliances

I recently bought 3 new kitchen aid appliances- electric range with double oven, over the stove microwave, and dishwasher. So far, I am very happy with them. The ones we bought were the kitchen-aid architect series.

Re: Appliances

We have GE Profile in everything you listed.

My complaints have to do with the Induction range, more specifically the control panel. I wish it was backlit so I didn't have to turn on the overhead light all the time to see the buttons/panel.

Oh...I don't know if the freezer on the french door refrigerator has an alarm or if it's just not sensitive enough. My freezer drawer has been left open a hair (enough for food to defrost and have to be tossed) and I didn't know it. It's happened to me twice.
