Is IF the ONLY thing you think about?

Its the last thing on my mind before bed, the first thing in the morning, and every other thought on between. I'm so distracted, work is a royal mess, and my family knows somethings up. I know I need therapy but I dont have the wherewithall to go to more doctors appts.

Is it always on your mind too?

Yes. Although I try to keep myself busy, I am always thinking about it or connecting the current situation back to IVF! I know exactly how your feeling! If you need to chat -FM me!

IF was always on my mind too and I always wanted to talk to my DH about it and he couldn't emotionally talk about it the way I wanted to. So I started acupuncture and saw a therapist at North Shore Center for Human REproduction and they were the best things of I could have done.

Infertility, my losses, etc. is always at least somewhere on my mind.. whether it's that I'm thinking about it at the moment ... or it's on the back of my mind and think about it for a fleeting second... It's there.

I am still able to go about my day and unless I'm going through some kind of infertility related crisis, it doesn't impact the enjoyment of whatever I'm doing at the time.

I can't wait for this to just be a memory though.

It definitley is during the time I'm cycling. Then again the 2nd week of the 2WW. I'm so dumb and forget things b/c I'm so consumed by it.

yup.. its pretty consuming! Ive gotten a better handle on it recently but it is a constant thought on my mind. It has really impacted motivation in so many other areas of my life
The worst part of it all is that its so mentally/emotionally exhausting. I barely have energy anymore because Im worried about it all the timee :(

Yes it use to for many, many years. I would constantly talk about it. My DH would say that it consumed me on a constant basis. I honestly did not know how it could not consume me. I was surrounded by children, all my friends had kids and there we were trying so hard, spending so much money to have a baby. I honestly was able to take step back after I started therapy. I had to learn a few techniques on how to not make it number one in my life but it took a while for that to happen.

The short answer is yes.

When I am cycling, it is all consuming. When I am not cycling is about 75%. Normal, right?

After my first IVF cycle failed, I was kind of depressed. I was in a major rut and DH got into a bit of a fight because he didn't really understand what was wrong with me. I tried to explain that I thought about our problems when I woke up, on my way to work, while I was at work, on my way home from work, in the shower, as I fell asleep, and even in my dreams. IF is a nightmare

That being said, it's gotten a bit better. I've learned to cope better, but I still think about it ALL the time.

I don't even realize it because it's just become so natural to always be thinking about SOMETHING related to IF.

Yes, for the last 18 months it is all I've thought about it. Next week is 1 year from my last BFP that ended in m/c. I never thought I would still not be pregnant by now.

i really need SOMTHING to work out for me right now.
