My intralipid saga
They never called it in so it was a week late and I needed it for this new cycle.
Nurse comes tues- sticks me 3 times, first time with jagged tubing on the needle then 2 other times. I cried. No treatment.
Thurs night nurse cancels.
Fri, nurse sticks me 3 times and the 4th one we prayed (kinda jokingly) to Jesus, Buddah and whoever else was listening. FINALLY worked!
I said if that last one didnt work I was giving up b/c I was really beginning to think it wasn't meant to be for some reason.
Now I better get pregnant!

That is really a crazy nurse. I have small veins and never been stuck that many times. I wish you much success.

yikes  That sounds so frustrating!! 
Where did you find this nurse? She sounds inexperienced!!
Hopefully it won't matter!!  
.. Now I say you go out and buy yourself something to make up for that!

The first one was a kook. I didn't like her AT ALL. I just have really really terrible veins. They find them, then they run and hide once they try and stick me. The new nurse at Dr. Bs won't even attempt a draw on me. She just goes and gets Linda or Sandra (who get it on the first try and I never even feel it).
The nurse last night wasn't as bad as tues. Tues she was moving the frikin' needle in my veins and I wanted to smack her!!  It took an hour last night to even get that 4th one. I was running my arms in the hot shower and everything. I was really just beginning to think it wasn't meant to be.
The one last night was from Trinity's sister co. I am going to have Dr. B call it in for 6 weeks from now so I can schedule Phyllis (who got it last time on the first try).

I love Phyllis, she was great. I usually have Linda do my intrallipids but I pay her out of pocket. Good Luck next time!
