The common "should I tip?" question...
Had a dumpster delivered. Guy pulled up, dropped it in my driveway, took my money, left. 5 minutes MAX he was here.
Should I have tipped?

id say yes because the same thing happenes with pizza, chinese, other food deliveries... they come and drop something off, there are there for a few minutes and then they leave...

i thought they got a tip because they are performing a service not because they are using a personal vehicle... and my chinese food guy uses a bike most of the time

Nope, I wouldn't tip. I think those guys get paid a lot more than the pizza or chinese food delivery guy. It's not like you can go pick up your own dumpster!

thats true... but the way the OP worded the post seemed like they were basing the tip on how long it took...

Thanks everyone! I guess I was just trying to say he didn't have to go out of his way or anything.
That is a good way to look at it - I can't pick up my own dumpster!
