Difference between NB Diapers and Size 1?
I have a feeling my DS will outgrow the NB diapers pretty quickly...
Are NB diapers the only ones with that umbilical cord cutout? Or do some Size 1's have it, as well?

I think only newborn size have it, at least in Pampers. But it's pretty easy to fold down the size 1 to avoid the cord. That's what I had to do.

Only NB dipaers have the cut out. At Stony Brook they had DS#1 in size 1 diapers and folded it down to accomdate the umbilical cord. After I used the one pkg of NB sized diapers I had at home with Ds#1 i did what they did in the hospital with size 1.

NB goes up to about 10lbs and then size 1 goes to about 14lbs. The umbilical cord usually falls off within 2 weeks. Unless you have a 10lb baby, you should probably be okay for 2 weeks in NB. I bought NB diapers one box at a time since I didnt know how long he'd be in them. Once the umbilical cord falls off you can prob go right to size 1.

DS was 6.8 at birth and wore newborn diapers until 6 weeks old. I liked them fitting rather than being huge, especially since I was changing him every 2 hours or so.

DS was 7 7 at birth. The hospital put him in 1's and folded down the top for the u/c. but at almost 6 weeks hes still in nb bc he was having blowouts in the bigger size.

With DD we never even used NB diapers, we just folded down the size 1s. She was 7 lbs 12 oz at birth, so not big at all, and I knew that being a BF baby she would have a lot of explosive poops and I wanted the extra room in the diaper
