Queens people...new waterfront restaurant and review!
I've been saying for the longest time that NE Queens has all this waterfront and NO outdoor restaurants there!  Meanwhile, this weekend I overheard a conversation at the hair salon about a new place and I googled it when I got home and we went that night...
Anyway, the place is Due Ponti in Whitestone. It's on Powell's Cove and 154th Street, right by the Waldbaum's shopping center. It was pretty small and the water views weren't spectacular from inside, but my food was delicious (I got the filet mignon with goat cheese polenta)!!! DH also really enjoyed his. It wasn't great weather that night, so no one was eating outside (but there are tables out there) but we walked out after dinner and it was very pretty...even saw a fireworks show over on the Bronx side.
So even though the place seemed to be working out some kinks (only beer and wine alcohol-wise, wine list on stapled, photocopied sheets, odd parking situation), I would definitely recommend those in the area to check it out!

Just passed it yesterday on my way home from Waldbaums and was so curious about this place!

I live right up the block and pass it several times a day.
Will have to try it out with DH one night.

Ho w are the prices?
We had a salad, two entrees, 2 beers and a glass of wine and the bill came to $68. I thought that was pretty reasonable especially considering I got the filet mignon.
