I'm an adult! But my mommy still dictates my outfits!
Anyone else has a mom that is up their butt about what they are wearing to family functions?
She doesn't like the dress I chose for an upcoming family wedding, she wants me to wear something "younger"

Sometimes my mom will say Oh I like X, why not wear that to the event. Sometimes /i take her suggestion and other times I don't. In the end wear what makes you the most comfortable.

My mom tries to get me to buy clothes that are old-fashioned (like someone 60 yrs old would wear, not someone 30) and she tries to get me to buy them way too big for me. I just tell her, thanks but it's not for me, and I pick out what I want. Don't let your mom try to guilt you into wearing something you don't want to wear!

My mom ALWAYS has something to say about what I'm wearing - either when she sees me in it, or if she's not there, then after the fact when she sees pictures. She tends to want me to overdress for occasions (IMO), and has made comments that hurt my feelings in the past. I've gotten to the point where I either ignore her or flat out tell her that I love her, but I did not ask for her opinion on my clothing, and I am a grown woman who can choose my own outfits. Maybe she'll bite her tongue one day...

my mom tends to want me to dress like a hoochie No skirt is too short, no shirt too low cut .... she herself is the epitomy of class, I wonder if she's living vicariously.
