Traditional Crib v. Convertible?
We are team and to add to the complication of picking furniture while being team , we will be using the room next door to our master bedroom as our nursery but in a couple of years we hope to use that room as a nursery for #2, (at least thats the plan) , and have LO move to one of the bigger upstairs bedrooms.
SOO LO's "real" or grown up furniture will eventually be moved to another room. That being said, not sure whether to go with a convertible furniture set , which we will likely order right after baby is born so we can pick a gender appropriate set OR, get a gender neutral crib, regular crib that can be used down the road with #2 also and just get the baby's 'real furniture' once he moves to the bigger room.
Sorry, I hope this made sense!!!

Re: Traditional Crib v. Convertible?
either way, you would want the furniture to grow with one of the kids (#1 or eventually #2)
We went with the convertible for #1 and got #2 a different set. Of course, now 4 years later, they wanted bunk beds...so I'm hoping #3 can get some use out of one of thier sets.
