FET
I want to get back to the doctor to go for my first FET to try for number 2 after DD's second birthday in August. DD resulted from a fresh cycle and that was a loooong process- as most of you know.
Anyway, my question is, for those of you who've done an FET, how long is the process for that? I know it's much less involved than fresh cycle. Just wondering when the earliest I can do a tranfer if I go to Dr. K in August.

Dr k just did mine and it was medicated....basically they went by a 28 day cycle and brought me in day 13, did transfer on day 18 and just got my bfp! I have my first sono next week....GL ,it was much easier than ivf

Re: FET
I think it depends upon with you are doing a medicated or natural FET cycle. By natural...that usually means that the only medication used is a trigger shot and progesterone and maybe estrogen in the 2ww. This is the quickest and easiest of the FET. You normally need to ovulate on your own and make a good lining on your own to do this. Most people have medicated FET cycles where they take meds in the cycle before the FET as well as meds during the actual FET. So...that takes about two months like a regular IVF cycle. I did a natural FET and loved it. Very easy and so little meds.

Re: FET
About a month (a little more if you're not on BCPs already) I believe--- that's a medicated cycle though. Diff dr's have diff. protocols too. HTH!

Re: FET
Thanks for the answers!
I will almost definitely be doing a medicated cycle, since I very rarely get AF on my own.
