Please tell me I'm being crazy...

because now I'm obsessing about this and I don't know why.

Every single time I go for a sono (and I've been going weekly for the last few weeks, before that it was at least bi-weekly), Chat Icon is always almost folded in half, in more than fetal position, basically like I said, in half. Could there be something wrong with her, with her spine? It didn't occur to me to ask yesterday at the doctor...just started bugging me on the way home, al night last night and then this morning its making me crazy. Chat Icon

i wouldn't worry!! the babies are always in crazy positions when I go. Did you have your level II? I am sure they would have detected something if there was a major problem with her spine. Don't stress yourself out...sounds like she just likes to stay snuggled up in a ballChat Icon

Re: Please tell me I'm being crazy...

You're being crazy.

But, I went through the EXACT SAME THING. If you look in my album particularly at my 17 week sono, the baby is all sorts of contorted with its legs over its head. Like folded in half. It was like that again at my level II for part of the time... and then it stretched itself out. The sono tech did say (both times) that the bizzare position was totally normal and she sees it all the time.

I totally know how you feel and if there was something wrong they would have told you. Chat Icon

don't worry and stress yourself out.. babies are always in bizzare poses.. i remember seeing a picture of my friend's son and it looked like he was doing one of those gymnastics poses with the body folded in half.. and waving at the camera.. Chat Icon totally happens.. and don't worry yourself.. Chat Icon

I wouldn't worry, especially if the Dr is not concerned. They are always moving around and in weird positions! They are basically floating in there!

Mine has been in that weird position before too. I'm sure all is normal, or your dr would want to look into more.

Try not to worry.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks, guys. I know I'm nuts. I don't know why its freaking me out so much! I guess because DS wasn't nearly as active as this little thing. Yesterday she was playing with her knees and them completely stretched out her legs while we were watching her Chat Icon

DS1 was always folded. ALWAYS! I had a 4D sono with terrible results because his toes were in his face the whole time. He's a perfectly healthy, bendy little almost 2 yr old now. Chat Icon

This baby is different - he's always stretched out!

Remember, your baby is floating in fluid. Imagine if you lived in a swimming pool (a really tiny one!) and had the flexibility of a newborn. You'd be in all sorts of crazy positions too, even though you're built the right way, and you'd be totally comfortable.
