If you have a Tempur-Pedic Bed

Did it takes awhile to get used to?

DH (!) insisted that we spend the money on the tempurpedic because of my back issues. I was kind of sore the first 2 nights, but I thought maybe I was just achy from the wedding. Last night was terrible. I barely slept. I felt every pressure point. SO MUCH PAIN. DH looked it up and said they can take time to "break in" but because we're going on our HM we're running out of time to return it.

Does it take time to break in, or did we just spend $2K on a mattress that's killing my back?

It took a few days, yes. It was very firm the first few days. There are a few threads on home about this for you to look at too.

With tempurpedic either you love it or hate. I personally hate it and cant get use to it.

yes we have the classic which is one of the stiffer ones and it took me about a month to really enjoy it. I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back and the bed finally allowed me to sleep comfortably through out the night. I love that I can fall asleep on my side and wake up in the same position! And as a PP said you will either love it or hate it I happen to love mine.

A couple of weeks here. But most of it was due to the timing of my bed being delivered. I got it on the 10th of September 2001

DH and I love ours, I don't remember having a problem in the beginning, but that was probably because the mattress before that was so awful.
