Lawn- Dethatcher

has anyone used one to remove dead grass caused by dog urine? I have a few big patches in my yard and I tried raking it out and gave up. According to google I can rent one of these. Just wondering if anyone has some tip/info/advice?? TIA

I didn't rent one, but our neighbor came over with his tractor & had one strapped to the back of it. He did our entire yard then we fertilized, seed, etc. Our yard has NEVER looked so good.

If you're able to rent one reasonably I would definitely do it.

We rented one in April for $45 for the day - it was the best thing we did for our lawn, it took up all the dead grass.
