Would you?

So one of my close cousins is getting married, DS will be her ring bearer, she's got a ton of girls in the bridal party and of course I feel too old for it anyway

She had told me in confidence her colors will be in the purple family, but didn't specify although I know her too well, I think she'll do like mauve and indigo.

I found a dress, flattering and nice, but its in a light purple, almost light mauve.

The thing is DS will only be 1.5y and chances are I will have to walk him down. I told her that he's unpredictable and I cant guarantee anything, she doesn't care and wouldn't mind if I ended up carrying him down.

So of course this makes me super nervous about what I'm wearing. So I'm trying to find navy dresses, but no luck (I'm a size 14p), and I hate all the black dresses I'm finding.

Any thoughts?

I am pretty sure it will be OK, I would just ask her and send her a picture of the dress.

I know that I personally did not care at all what color anyone wore to my wedding. Actually, close family members that were not in my wedding party but were in my pictures did wear similar/complimentary colors.

If she is your close cousin, I would just ask her.

It would not bother me in the least... but i would definitely ask her...

Personally, I wouldn't even care or notice, but brides can be crazy. If you're that concerned just ask her, but I probably wouldn't even bother.

My SIL wore a dress in the same color as my girls and I didn't even notice but a few people came up to me about it and some people even asked if she was the maid of honor!
