pasta with pesto
twice baked potatoes
grilled veggies (you can grill them at home and bring them at room temp)
a dip for an app... clam, spinach, crab, etc
tortellini pasta salad

A pasta salad

a potato salad ( i do mine with olive oil, salt, pepper, celery & red onions- you can even add roasted peppers- YUM)

My friend brought a mango salsa she made with chips to my last BBQ- big hit!

I did teriayaki glazed corn last time- mix some teriyaki sauce with garlic in a bowl, brush onto corn and wrap in foil- it's delish!

I'm boring, I look forward to the usual coleslaws, pasta salads and potato salads.

But here are my new and exciting suggestions!!

-beer battered onion rings
-mozz, tomato and basil salad
-corn pudding
-celery salad with blue cheese
-sweet potato fries

traditional BBQ side dishes = collards, mac and cheese, baked beans, corn bread, corn on the cob, sweet potato fries, coleslaw

German Potato Salad is so easy to make and really good!

Corn Salad is another favorite.

We also do Tabouleh or Quinoa salad sometimes.

this salad is absolutely delicious


Fresh Corn and Avocado Salad
Ingredients
• 6 ears corn
• 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
• 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
• 1 large avocado, cut into 1/2-in. cubes
• 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
• 2 tablespoons Champagne vinegar
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
• 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preparation
• 1. In a large pot of boiling water, cook corn until warmed through, 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse with cold water until cool.
• 2. Meanwhile, combine tomatoes, onion, avocado, and basil in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients to make the vinaigrette, whisking until blended.
• 3. Cut corn kernels off cobs and add to salad, then pour in vinaigrette and toss gently to combine.
• Note: Nutritional analysis is per serving.

This sounds delish!!! I love "no lettuce" salads. So good!
