ground turkey...what can I make
I took ground turkey out tonight for dinner...I was going to make meatballs, but I don't think my sauce is good anymore, and I just don't feel like making more!!!
Any suggestions on what I can make...just not tacos, my husband isn't a big fan!

Its sounds really odd but its good:
Pot 1:
Brown turkey w/ a small diced onion and 1/2 bag mixed bell peppers. When turkey is cooked add about 1/2 - 3/4th of a small bottle of fat free italian dressing
Pot 2:
Boil egg noodles, when almost done, add 1/2 small jar green olives.
Drain pot 2, add to pot 1. Mix/toss and serve.

Or, green chili turkey burgers. Get a jar of green chili sauce - add to meat w/ chili powder, cumin, garlic, S&P to taste. You can add grated cheddar cheese to the mix. Make a very small/quarter sized patti to taste for seasoning. Adjust and then make the rest of the burgers.

Turkey Picadillo -
Waldbaums has this seasoning packet by the tacos. (~$1.50)
Picadillo Packet
All you do is brown meat, add tomato sauce and add packet. OMG - Its so good. Its got raison and olives - sounds strange but its really good. I'm having it for lunch today.
The deli by work has it with Quinoa - so I add a little bit more tomatoe and some water and a good sprinkle of quinoa on top (sorry - no measurements).

What did you wind up making?
My go-to recipes for ground turkey are chili, stuffed peppers, tacos, turkey burgers and 'American' Ghoulash - all super simple and easy to make!

It's a mess that my mom used to make that I inherited. I don't even know what the right name would be so I call it what she called it! LOL
Basically you sautee onions, garlic. yellow squash, zucchini and bell pepper in a little olive oil. Add ground turkey and brown. Add a can of tomatoes and s&p. Heat through and serve over noodles. It's not much but it's very yum and the kids really like it!!

White Bean Chili
Drizzle olive oil in a large pot- add chopped onion and garlic
add the chopped turkey
Brown the Turkey with Cumin, chili powder, fennel seeds, salt and pepper(I just eyeball it)- add some flour and brown that as well.
Add in frozen corn, a can of white bean- rinsed and drained. add some chopped spinach too.
add 2/3 cups of chicken broth- again I just kind of add until the meat is covered.
Bring to a boil-
Cover and simmer for one hour.
Its delish!
