Flying with injectables?

I'm assuming it's ok since people fly with insulin all the time. We just booked a flight in aug and I'm not sure if I'll even still be on lovenox, but I'm planning ahead. Do I need a note or will just my script from the box be ok with my name on it?

I would get a doctors note and keep it just in case. I believe you should be fine, if they are in the box.

Re: Flying with injectables?

I flew international over spring break and went through security a bazillion times- not one person, tsa agent, security guard, nada, no one, asked me about my meds. I had lovenox, sub cu needles and intra muscular needles. I carried a general note from Dr. B and most in the script bottle or box it came in. They were more concerned about the bottle of water I had. Oopsy.

I got a dr's note just to be safe both when I flew as well as when I had to bring needles into shea stadium a couple of years ago, in case security stopped me. Chat Icon Chat Icon
