I know ppl that do it every year. I did it just once when we moved in. He wrote some symbolic letters & numbers with chalk over the front door.

That sounds about reasonable that's how much I was planning to give him 
Now let's gt back to the symbols? Did you ask him what were they for?

Not this specifically, but my parents sprinkled around the holy water they got when they visited the Vatican. Not the same, of course, but I like to think it helps protect us against... bad things?

yes, but my mom worked for the church for years, so the MSGR who was her boss and also married me and my sister did it. We had him over for dinner and he did it then!
