cal/hawaii or italy

if you received a gift to go, which would you choose (for someone who has never been to either)

Italy.. I have never been to Hawaii and I just loved Italy.. so I would pick Italy. I love new culture, history and figuring out a new place.. but Hawaii sure does have its perks as well. Good luck.. you can't go wrong with either..

They are both completely different vacations. Both are amazing places to go.

The Hawaii trip that we took was a fantastic relaxing experience, sat on the beach or by the pool and only did a few excursions, hiking, surfing etc.

For Italy we went to Rome & Venice. It was a very busy vacation, a lot of walking and sight seeing. Great time, BEAUTIFUL cities, but not a slow paced relaxing vacation.

So I guess it depends what type of vacation you're looking for.

I agree with the above posters. Been to both, and totally different experiences.

I personally have a thing for Europe, and my husband lived in Italy for 7 years, so it was nostalgic being there.

If you want more relaxed atmosphere in Italy think of staying in the Almalfi area, Sorrento is beautiful and you can go to the beaches.

If you have any questions, please feel free to FM me. DON'T go to Italy in the summer, a lot of places are closed and people leave the towns. Best time would be October.

Personally I'd go to Hawaii but only because I've been to Italy twice.

Are you more into sightseeing or are you more into beachy, ziplining, volcano exploring, type stuff?

I would pick Hawaii. that trip would run ME a lot more money than my trips do italy do.

I've been to both and I know I will be going back to Italy God willing again and again, so I'd take a gift as an opportunity to get back to Hawaii again. for ME. it's a more extravagant trip.

Been to Cali, never to Hawaii, but don't have a huge desire to go.

I adore Italy! I feel like you can go 100 and still have tons of more places to go.

i went to italy last summer..LOVED it!! rome was one of my favorite places ever, and i can't wait to go back

then this summer i'm spending a week in hawaii, and later on a week in cali..both of which im insanely excited for

Been to Cali a cple times, its nice...I have never been to hawaii but I just love Italy so much. I studied there and have traveled there three additional times. Still I pick Italy. There is always more to see
