sushi
why arent' you supposed to eat sushi when your pregnant?
i had asked my doctor if i was allowed, and she said it was fine as long as it was in moderation. Which confused the heck out of me, since everyone else says its a no no.

Re: sushi
The chances of raw fish carrying bateria is high, I think is the reasoning. I don't get it myself, especially pregnant women in Japan eat it every day.

Re: sushi
Raw fish is a no no. All sushi is not raw though! I eat cooked stuff all the time. Satisfies the cravings

Re: sushi
So I bet a california roll would be ok. Isn't the crab imitation meat or at least cooked?

California rolls, any kind of tempura rolls, shrimp rolls, and veggie rolls are all ok.

I have yet to see a california roll with real crab meat. I would think it was safe.

Re: sushi
Even though I am not PG yet, that is one of the things I know I will miss most. The mercury is very bad for you and even not PG, if I eat it too much (I could eat sushi everyday) I get a headache. I am assuming it's from the sushi, or it could be my imagination!!!!
