My doctor in Chicago is sorta old fashioned. He told me at my last visit that I would not be having any more sonos. I'm 25 weeks. I had my level II already. My doctor in NY did lots of sonos and my friends who have delivered with him had them at the end to check fluid levels, size, etc. My baby was breech at the level II, but I know that there's plenty of time for him/her to turn. The dr. said he can tell through the internal about positioning. I was disappointed that I won't "see" the baby again, but now I'm wondering if this is ok health-wise.

That does sound about right. My Dr. has a crappy machine in her office, so she does them every time I go, but I know that's not really the norm. I think you should get another one though around 35 weeks- another growth sono.

I was thinking I should have at least one more. Maybe I'll have to ask for it.

Maybe some doctor don't do it. Mine told me that with low risk pregnancies, the Level II is the last one they do.

For both of my pregnancy I had one sonogram at about 20 weeks. Unless their is a medical necessity for another one, it is the only one i have.
