Anyone else on Procardia or had it?
to keep contractions at bay? just curious I guess.

im on it right now. im 32 weeks tomorrow started taking have preterm labor at 29 weeks was sent to good sam, they put me on mag and steriods first . when they took me off the mag they tried to procardia it didnt work . so i went back on the ag and they tried some shot didnt work then they put me on indocin slowly took me off mag then put me on procardia and another dose of incodine. I was in the hospital for a lil over a week they sent me home last saturday the and i saw my ob this past tuesday so far no contractions....( i never felt them to begin with thought it was just gas.
I go back tomorrow so well see so far so good ....i only have 1 cm left to my cervix so im on prcardia and bed rest.
how long have you been on it? hope it is working for you and your lil one keeps cooking away .

Crazy how everything you described is what I went through at 30 weeks. I'm now almost 36 weeks and stopping the procardia this week (still on bedrest tho). You never realize how common this is until you go through it, you know?

It does seem to be working so far. I started having contractions Thurs night at 33 1/2 weeks and they gave me something first, no mag, it was tributelone? not sure of spelling. Then the procardia after that. Now I'm at home after several days in Mercy. Everything is pretty quiet now. I feel something every once in a while but that's it. I am calling Dr. tomorrow to see what next step is. I am still observing bed rest til I get more specific instructions.

God bless....i am 32 weeks today ..still on it but i went for my weekly visit and was having contractions show up on the machine ( again still don't feel them) so they sent me to the hospital and was put on iv ...the whole while there no contractions so im back home on bed rest ...baby is fine ...cervix shortened to .4 so next check up they want me to see them thrus it will prob be gone :( scary im hoping to at least hold out to 34 weeks i want her to cook longer of course but i doubt ill make it to full term the way were goin. Baby is doing great though it's just my uterus giving me problems .

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Contractions have stopped for now and I am still closed so so far so good.
