Keratin hair treatment - help!
So, I got this done for the second time almost 7 months ago. According to the people at the salon, it should have washed out after 4 months, yet I still have some hair that is stick straight (mostly towards the front). I really would like my curly hair back. I have been using regular shampoo for months and today I put sea salt into it, but I still have pieces that are curly at the roots and stick straight down the rest. The back of my head is totally fine, completely curly. Anyone have any tips?? I look ridiculous and I miss my hair

I know it's not what you want to hear, but after putting salt in Prell shampoo for a while... I had to cut my hair off. Luckily I like my hair short but I am STILL waiting for the rest of my curls to come back. I only got it done twice, last time was 7 months ago. Never again.

I am the same, did it twice, the last was 7-8 months ago...I really don't want to cut my hair because it would be SUPER short and I don't think I'd look good that way...but it might be my only choice

Re: Keratin hair treatment - help!
My treatment lasted for close to a year. I just now am starting to get curls back and get frizz in humidity.
You just have to let it grow. I cut about 8 inches 6 months after doing it and it still stayed in. (I didn't cut it to get the treatment out I did it for a change).
They say the more damaged your hair the better the treatment takes and the longer it lasts. Between coloring and straightening irons my hair was pretty damaged.
I know it can be frustrating but it should all come back.

I can't help you because I had the opposite problem - I think it lasted 3 weeks.
Maybe your hair can send it over to my hair. Everybody wins.
They say swimming helps remove it too.
GL!

Re: Keratin hair treatment - help!
mine 100% came back, but my sister is a hair specialist, I asked her why are some girls so lucky to have it stay?
She says it has to do with the quality of your hair when you put the treatment on. If its healthy and the cuticle is in good condition, keratin will not stick, thats why she recommends coloring it before doing the treatment, to damage the hair a little.
She says if you have split ends, or damaged, or colored hair, keratin will stick like crazy glue.
Is this the case for you?
She also will not do the stronger keratin treatments because she's worried about her own chemical exposure to them. She uses a milder one. When she does it for me, I beg her to redo it 2 months later.

Not at all...I get regular haircuts and I haven't colored my hair in years. I bought Prell shampoo and I'll put salt in that...hopefully that'll help? The thing that is crazy is the back is completely back to curly...but the sides are all weird and half curly/stick straight.

Re: Keratin hair treatment - help!
you need to wash it with clarifying shampoo, a lot! if it doesn't wear out the only other thing I know of is a product that removes color when they make a mistake. its a harsh product and I personally probably wouldn't use it, but it should work.
any beauty supply store can sell this to you. not a place like ulta, a real salon supply store.
