Signs of pre-eclampsia???

Does anyone know off the top of their head symptoms of preeclampsia? I was just wondering since I've been having some swelling, a little raise in blood pressure and today for a few minutes while I was driving in A/C I had a bit of a dizzy spell and felt weird. That went away in a few minutes. What was also weird was very late last night I woke up and I was really swollen. If I get any swelling it's usually during the day in the heat. I just thought I'd ask since I wouldn't know the difference between that and a normal summer PG. Also with my son I was PG during the winter so the swelling wasn't there until the last month. Sounds like the start of pre-eclampsia. I was just discharged from the hospital for it. signsa are weight gain, swelling, elevated blood pressure, headaches, dizzyiness, floaters or spots in front of eyes, chest pain, shortness of breath, increased indigestion and pain in the upper abdominal area.

my friend who delivered ealry had signs leading to pre-eclampsia--never made it that far. Her ankles and feet were so swollen she was no longer able to walk ( I saw her a few days before she was induced and I can honeslty say I have never in my life seen anyone so swollen. I thought it was like out of a movie) and her blood pressure and blood sugar were through the roof. She was having severe hot flashes and exhausted.

I had it. That is why I was on for 3 months bedrest and had to deliver early

Your urine will show up with protein, high blood pressure, I actually went blind for about 5 mins (prompted emerg c-section), swelling of face and hands (not so much ankles because most PG have them), dizziness.

I hope it's just the heat

I hope everything is OK. I think you should call your doctor, if only for piece of mind. The dizziness can be from the elevated blood pressure. My friend had it at the very end, which prompted a c-section and her face was very, very swollen.

I just wanted to add that I was also dehydrated while I was PG (great PG I had ) and I was dizzy a lot. I was hospitalized twice for dehydration.

You should go to the dr. and make sure everything is ok.
