What should I expect from monitoring?

Today is CD 1. RE is having me start monitoring on CD12. Im not taking any meds.. he says Im textbook healthy and we should be able to do this naturally (well as natural as possible with IUI!)

Anyway, what can I expect from monitoring? Sonos? Bloodwork? Are they just trying to determine when I O? Im so afraid they will miss it unless I go in every single day.. how often does everyone go?

TIA ladies!

Yup you'll have a sono and blood work each time you go in. They'll want to check follicle size, how many, how they grow and then after you ovulate you'll go back 7 days later for blood work to make sure you O on your own. Chat Icon

I think so. It's rare, but i believe you can. Are you doing clomid or anything like that?

Oh and yes you'll be going quite a bit. Or at least i did, but i have slow growing follicles.

You can probably expect to go in every 2-3 days before you O. Then when you get close to O, you'll go for bloodwork almost daily to detect your surge. Then 7 days later for more blood work.

You go a lot in the beginning of your cycle and then you get 2 weeks off. Chat Icon Hopefully you don't live far away like i do.

It's a lot. But it pays off. Chat Icon
