need a quick answer...re: graco snugride vs snugride 30
i got one of each and originally thought it was 2 of the same. the snugride says on amazon that it goes up to 22 lbs...while the snugride 30 goes to 30...is the 30lb necessary? or would most convertibles cover from 22+?

Most convertibles are DEF 22+ or less! Trust me, you will NOT be lugging the infant carrier when the baby is 22 lbs. Way too heavy. My DD was in a convertbile seat around 6 months- 15ish lbs

With DD1 I had the peg perego one that went up to 30lbs...DD was out of it wayyyy before 30 lbs. FOr this one I downsized to the graco 22, I couldn't carry the 30lb one anymore....so from a BTDT mom the 22lb weight limit is more than sufficient!!!

Another BTDT saying just get the regular one, you don't need the larger one, you aren't lugging around the baby in an infant seat when they are above 22 lbs. More than likely, they would be over the height limit before that.
Just to give you some perspective, my DS was 25 lbs at 15 months. You aren't going to get a walking 1 year old into an infant seat.

Most convertibles start at 5 lbs.
You will be fine with the lower limit. DD is only 14 lbs now (at 4 1/2 months) and I'm thinking of changing to the rear-facing convertible soon already.
