Girls who are/were on Prometrium...

I have a question-- my doc (OB/GYN)prescribed oral Prometrium 100mg twice a day, starting 2 days after ovulation.

With my last pregnancy, I was on Endometrim vaginal suppositories (per my RE)-- with each suppository being 100mg taken 2 to 3 times a day. I did it 3 times to be safe.

I haven't gone back to an RE because my issues were resolved with extra vitamins, baby aspriin and the progesterone. So, if that all doesn't work for a while-- I'll go back to an RE.

Anyway, to my question... I am wondering:

a- if there is any difference in effectiveness of oral vs vaginal suppository, and

b- if I should be taking the oral 3 times a day because the 300mg/day seem to work for me last time.

We use prometrium vaginally. We never do oral P4 supplements.

I did oral (3 times a day) with Prometrium and Estrace last time I did IVF (with my son) and this time (5 weeks). Also, taking the progesterone oil shots in the butt nightly - last time as well.

Do what feels best for you.

With my last PG I was on Prometrium orally too. I believe I was taking 200mg per day from the time I "O" until 13w PG.
