ice cream cone cupcakes???
I feel like an idiot, but how do you do this? Do you put the cones in the oven as well? I want to make them for a party next week. How many cones does one box of cake mix usually make?

Re: ice cream cone cupcakes???
You could just put batter in the cones and bake like you would in the paper cups. But I have heard it makes the cones tougher/chewier. I also saw these steps online:
Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
Make cake batter as directed on box. Fill each cup 2/3 full of batter (1 heaping tablespoon each). Place ice cream cone upside down on batter in each cup.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean (cones may tilt on batter). Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Remove paper baking cups. Generously frost cake with frosting, and decorate as desired. Store loosely covered.

i made them once and i poured the batter right into the cone. it did make the cone a little soggy/chewy but they still came out good.
