Major P.C. Richard's Vent

DH & I purchased a barbecue last Sunday, and the delivery time was slated for 7am-10am today. They came and they delivered us an unassembled barbecue, even though we paid for assembly. They called the store, gave my invoice number, etc. and the store said that they cannot assemble that barbecue. I told them fine, leave the barbecue, but I would be calling the store to get my assembly money back.

I call the store, give them my invoice number, etc. They tell me that they delivered the wrong barbecue. They'll deliver the right one sometime today before 5pm, but they cannot tell me what time. They said the driver "might call and he might not." uhm, that is 8 hours from now! I have a million things to do plus I'd like to take a friggen shower!

I'm so aggravated. P.C. Richard's screwed up and now I can't get anything done all day because of them? Bull, bull, bull.

I'm posting this because honestly I hope either a) someone from the store reads it and realizes that this is unacceptable customer service and/or b) it deters someone from buying a barbecue from them, because this is nonsense.

It's the Bellmore store, for the record.

Ugh, that's rotten.

If you end up cancelling the whole thing and getting your money back, Jetmore on Merrck Rd in Seaford is fantastic, and they definitely assemble.

I have a situation with PC richards to but a diff store and its over a stove. We ordered a stove from them and before we ordered we asked the salesman if the white stove came with the dark cast iron cooking grates bc if it didnt we didnt want the stove. Well he told us yes, so we go ahead and make the sale. Well the stove gets delivered with these light grey porcelain cooking grates! Long story short its been over 2 months and I have yet to recieve the correct grates and keep getting a run around from the store! DH has been handling the situation bc he knows if I call it will become a HUGE issue.

I would call and complain to the store manager, in a polite tone..and see if you can get something out of it - a gift card or partial refund - maybe for the assembly?
